More Republicans Than Democrats Have Voted So Far In Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - Many Coloradans didn't waste time when they got their ballots in the mail this year.
A total of 1.4 million Coloradans have already voted, according to the Colorado Secretary of State's office.
Here's how that 1.4 million breaks down:
- Nearly 559,000 registered Republicans have voted.
- Nearly 446,000 registered Democrats have voted.
- Almost 360,000 unafilliated voters have cast their ballots.
- In Denver, already 143,000 voters have cast their ballots.
So, as of Monday morning -- the day before Election Day -- more than 100,000 more Republicans have voted than Democrats.
And with about one third of Colorado voters being independent, many are watching how those citizens will vote.
If you have not already voted, you can still drop off your ballots on Monday or Tuesday. You can also visit your nearest polling location and vote in person on Tuesday.
