More Rain Increases Flooding Risk Along The Front Range
DENVER (AP) — A storm system bringing moderate to heavy rain to much of Colorado's Front Range is raising the risk of flash flooding.
The latest round of wet weather hit the Colorado Springs area first Tuesday, causing minor street flooding and standing water in parts of the city. The National Weather Service tells The Colorado Springs Gazette that no flooding or damage has been reported on the nearby burn scars left by the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires.
The storm is moving slowly north along the Front Range and the eastern plains over some areas already saturated from heavy rain Monday night.
Storms are expected to stick around along the Front Range through the weekend.
