More Colorado Workers Testing Positive For Marijuana

DENVER (CBS4) - More Colorado workers are testing positive for marijuana since the state legalized recreational use of the drug.

Quest Diagnostics, who performs a lot of testing for companies, reported an increase of 20 percent from 2012 to 2013.

The increase in positive tests is higher in Washington state -- a 23 percent increase -- since the legalization of marijuana there.

Quest Diagnostics says this is the first time in 10 years that workforce drug tests have been on the increase nationwide.
