Moose Found Dead Near Leadville Wasn't Poached

LEADVILLE ,Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities have determined a moose found dead near Leadville in early November wasn't killed by a poacher.

CBS4 first reported about the discovery of a carcass near town. Colorado Parks and Wildlife now says the animals died from a lung infection and there were no signs of poaching on the animal.

Investigators also say reported remains of another moose turned out to be a legally harvested elk.
