Missing Utah Woman Identified As Body Found Along I-70

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities say the body of a missing woman from Utah was discovered along Interstate 70 in Summit County on Sunday afternoon.

She has been identified as Maria Maricela Astorga-Chavez, 32, who was last seen leaving her house on Aug. 6.

Police in West Valley City, Utah are looking for Javier Huerta, a man Astorga-Chavez's family said she was seen with that day. He is considered a suspect.

Summit County Sheriff's Office investigators contacted detectives in Utah who flew to Colorado to investigate the deceased woman as a possible identity match for their missing person. An autopsy confirmed that it was Astorga-Chavez.

Investigators in Utah have located a crime scene in West Valley City where it is believed Astorga-Chavez died. Investigators have also located the white Ford Expedition known to be driven by Huerta at a separate site.

The West Valley City Police Department is asking for the public's help locating Huerta. Huerta is also known to use the name Jorge Martinez as well as other aliases.
