Crews Now In Recovery Effort After Kayaker Goes Missing
MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews struggled to retrieve the body of kayaker in the South Platte River in Morgan County on Saturday.
The sheriff says it's now a recovery effort and no longer a rescue.
A witness reported seeing a kayak flip over a low-head dam east of Fort Morgan Friday afternoon. Searchers found the kayak but have not found the missing person.
The sheriff says they have an idea of where the kayaker is but are not able to get to the person.
