Metal Spikes Found On Mountain Bike Trail

BUFFALO CREEK, Colo. (CBS4)- Mountain bikers are wary after a trail was sabotaged with metal spikes, resulting in numerous flat tires.

The booby-traps were discovered on the Little Scraggy Trail in the Buffalo Creek Trail System located about an hour west of Denver.

The hazard wasn't just nails on the trail, but metal spikes lodged in concrete blocks that were buried along the trail with the spikes sticking out.

The Forest Service is investigating the incidents.
