Beaver Tail Fire Burns 463 Acres In Mesa County

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A wildfire continues to burn in Mesa County amid extreme drought conditions on the Western Slope. The Beaver Tail Fire has burned more than 460 acres, according to fire officials.

Local agencies have been battling the fire since the weekend. The Colorado Bureau of Land Management says the fire is burning in the same remote area the Pine Gulch Fire started in July 2020. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
