Western Slopes Psychiatric Hospital Expanding To Meet Mental Health Needs

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Psychiatric social workers in Grand Junction say Mesa County is struggling with a mental health crisis. West Springs Hospital is the only psychiatric hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City.
The hospital says it is constantly full, according to the Grand Junction Sentinel. The hospital is expanding and will open its new facility in about a week.
The building will be four times the size of a current hospital.
