Men Disguised As Utility Workers Use Gun To Get In Home, Rob Woman

DENVER (CBS4) - Two men are wanted for robbery in Denver after using a disguise to force their way into a home Tuesday morning.

The suspects, both black males in their 20s, robbed a home on South Stuart Street at approximately 11:30 a.m. They were wearing yellow hard hats and green safety vests at the time, and told the homeowner they were from Home Depot.

The homeowners, a husband and wife who do not want to be identified, told CBS4's Kelly Werthmann that the wife was home alone when the two men dressed as utility workers knocked on the door.

She told them she did want anything from them and tried to close the door, but the men then pushed their way in and pulled out guns, telling her to be quiet. The woman began screaming and happened to be on the phone with her husband, who was on his lunch break.

He hurried home and arrived in 10 minutes. The suspects were still in the house and pointed the gun at him. They eventually ran out with money and the wife's cellphone, which was later found in a nearby park.
