An ambulance with lights flashing headed west on the highway Thursday toward Frisco as a Flight for Life helicopter flew above in advance of Friday's memorial service for Patrick Mahany. Before leaving the Denver area, the procession passed workers gathered outside St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood. On I-70, firefighters, EMTs and others waiting on overpasses saluted as the procession passed.

The Summit Daily News reports it will end at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center Thursday and then continue on to the Dillon Ampitheatre on Friday for the memorial service.
