Medina Alert Program Launched In Arapahoe County

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Arapahoe County launched its Medina Alert program to crack down on hit-and-run drivers.

The alert system is named for Denver parking valet, Jose Medina. He was killed by a hit-and-run driver three years ago.

The system works like an Amber Alert, using email, text and broadcasts to tell people to look out for hit-and-run suspects and their vehicles. It's already active in Denver and Aurora.
