Medina Alert Issued After Pedestrian Killed In Hit & Run

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Medina Alert has been issued following a fatal hit-and-run in Colorado Springs Sunday night.

The incident occurred on North Academy Boulevard just north of the Citadel Mall at approximately 8 p.m.

According to police, two people were crossing Academy outside of a crosswalk and one of them was struck by a vehicle.

The victim's identity hasn't been released.

Police are searching for an SUV that's possibly a 2008 gray Ford Escape with license plate number 413-XPW. The SUV may have front-end damage and a broken windshield.
