Student With Gun At McLain Community High School Arrested

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A student was arrested after he allegedly brought a gun to school on Wednesday morning. The incident caused McLain Community High School to be on lockdown.
Police in Lakewood told CBS4 that a student at the school called, saying that another student had a gun. Police later identified the suspect as 25-year-old Rudy Jesse Romero. They say Romero is both a student at the school and an employee in the school district.
When officers arrived, they found Romero with the gun and took him into custody. Investigators do not believe he made threats to anyone in the school. No injuries were reported.
Classes resumed at McLain Community High School and the lockdown was lifted after the arrest.
