"Change dropped in a Salvation Army red kettle is not just change it's a changed life, it's a lifeline to someone choosing whether to pay their heating bill or put food on the table. It's being there for a hungry neighbor in need." said Divisional Commander of Salvation Army, Lt. Col. Daniel Starrett in a statement.
