The body was found by a hiker along the bank of Soda Creek with Shelters' ID and cellphone. He was last seen April 24 when he left the Back Door Grill.

Friends and family started a Facebook page in the effort to find Shelters and they distributed T-shirts with his face printed on the front. They searched along the Yampa River.

An autopsy will be conducted to help authorities try to determine what led to his death.
