Massive Pot Grow Operation Found In Eagle County

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A hiker found a massive marijuana grow operation in Eagle County along Cottonwood Pass Road last Wednesday.

Deputies responded and found a very elaborate irrigation system with 1,000 marijuana plants. There was also a campsite nearby.

"Surveillance of the area was conducted but no suspects were located," the Eagle County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. "Law enforcement confiscated and destroyed all of the marijuana plants."

The investigation will remain active.
