Maroon Bells Sees Record Number Of Visitors In 2016

ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) - The U.S. Forest Service says there was a record number of visitors to the Maroon Bells near Aspen in Pitkin County this summer. That prompted the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority to add two more bus shuttles during the week.

They rolled out the shuttle service because the parking spaces were filling up.

Ridership was up 30 percent in June and July compared to the same months last year.

The service will run for another week.
