Men Who Sold Fake Broncos Gear Learn Their Sentences
DENVER (CBS4) - Two men have been sentenced after pleading guilty to selling fake Denver Broncos gear at the Mile High Flea Market.
Investigators claim David Henrichsen, 51, Marc Alan Misko, 62, Mitchell Jay Misko, 62, and Glenn Ford, 63, operated a business selling counterfeit merchandise at the market in Commerce City from Nov. 14, 2006 to Jan. 10, 2015.
Adams County District Attorney Dave Young claims the merchandise was falsely marked and identified as official merchandise for the Denver Broncos and other Denver professional and college teams as well as teams based in other cities around the country.
The government claims Marc Misko and his brother, Mitchell Misko, wired $1,900 to China in exchange for counterfeit Broncos gear that was sent back to Colorado.
In total, investigators claim the ring sold $868,000 worth of merchandise estimated to be about 130,000 products.
Marc Misko pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering. Mitchell Misko pleaded guilty to theft.
Marc Misko got three years probation and was fined $7,500. His brother Mitchell also got three years probation and was fined f$5,000.
Henrichsen's case has not gone to trial. Henrichsen is a former lieutenant with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
