Man With Dementia Missing In Wheat Ridge

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities are searching for a man with dementia missing from Wheat Ridge. Dale Weehunt, 83, has early onset Alzheimer's Disease, and left his home on Marshall Street around 6 p.m. Friday.

Weehunt has walked to Walmart in the past without issue, and may have been seen at Walmart at 6:30 p.m. Friday asking for directions to King Soopers, presumably on Sheridan Boulevard at West 38th Avenue. Police searched the area, including local hospitals.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that Weehunt traveled to the Fort Worth, Texas, area.

Weehunt is described as 6 feet tall with gray hair and brown eyes, and was wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt, and a brown coat.
