Man Whole Stole Christmas Decorations Won't Be Going To North Pole Anytime Soon

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - An 18-year-old man who admitted stealing Christmas decorations in Colorado Springs will be going to jail.

Police say Carrie Carley and Jeremy Lewallen swiped $2,000 worth of decorations. Lewallen was sentenced on Tuesday to six months in jail and six years probation.

Police say the couple's front and back yards were filled with the stolen decorations in December of 2014.

Carley put the blame solely on her husband, saying he'd leave in the middle of the night and there would be more decorations in the morning. She also says he stole Halloween decorations.

Carley faces a trial in June.
