Man Who Sent White Powder To Jewish Groups Sentenced

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A man who mailed white powder to Jewish groups in Boulder will be spending a year on work release at the Boulder County Jail.

Prosecutors say in April 2015 Jeffrey Klinkel sent a letter with white powder to the Boulder Jewish Community Center and the congregation Har Hashem. Klinkel wound up pleading guilty earlier this year.

Klinkel's sentencing hearing, which took place on Friday, also included the judge handing down four years of probation to Klinkel in addition to the work release.
