Man Who Opened Fire Inside Halfway House Gets Life In Prison
ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for opening fire at a treatment center in Arapahoe County.
Francis Pizzo, 47, pleaded guilty to all charges, including six counts of attempted first-degree murder. He's now been sentenced to 288 years in prison.
In June of 2013 Pizzo fired more than 20 shots inside a halfway house where he had stayed. Two people were hurt.
Prosecutors say Pizzo was trying to murder those who were trying to help him stay out of prison.
