Man Wanted On Colorado Warrant Arrested In Arizona

KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - A Golden Valley man wanted on a warrant in Colorado has been arrested in northwestern Arizona.

Mohave County Sheriff's officials say 29-year-old Cody JC Dutton was taken into custody early Sunday for resisting arrest and on a fugitive from justice warrant issued out of Colorado.

Sheriff's officials didn't immediately release details on the Colorado warrant.

Deputies were conducting a traffic stop about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in Golden Valley. They say Dutton was a passenger in the car and gave them a false name.

When deputies tried to arrest him, they say he pushed them away and ran into the desert. They used a stun gun to stop him.

Dutton has been booked into the county jail. It was unclear Monday if Dutton has a lawyer yet or is facing extradition.
