Man Wanted In Colorado Arrested After Escaping Custody In Maine

CHELSEA, Maine (CBS4) - Police in Maine have tracked down and arrested a man wanted in Colorado who jumped out of a state police cruiser and escaped earlier this week.

According to police, Jason Langdon, 34, was handcuffed and lost a shoe when he fled into the woods after his arrest in the town of Chelsea. Police brought in tracking dogs but Langdon was able to elude them.

Maine State Patrol on Friday announced they located and arrested Langdon. He is wanted in Colorado for escape, operating a vehicle without a license, providing false information and identification, and criminal mischief.

Police initially arrested Langdon during a traffic violation stop and he gave officers a false name.

Police say Langdon is also wanted in Florida.
