Man Thrown From Motorcycle In Deadly Crash

DENVER (CBS4) - A motorcyclist was killed Monday night in a crash off Santa Fe Drive at Stanford Avenue. Authorities believe alcohol or drugs may have contributed.

Investigators believe the motorcyclist, identified as Richard Gardner, was taking a curve too fast when he crashed and died just after 11 p.m. Monday. They also say alcohol or other drugs may have played a part.

Gardner, 46, was not wearing a helmet when he went across the double yellow line, struck a curb and was thrown from his bike. He did not survive. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
