Man Sentenced To 20 Years In Shooting Death

DENVER (AP) - A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in the shooting death of another man last summer.

Shawn Snow had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the July 27, 2015 death of 42-year-old Casey Griego. He had faced a maximum 24-year prison sentence under the terms of the plea agreement.

Adams County deputies found Griego shot on the floor of a garage at 7618 Grace Place in unincorporated Adams County. He was pronounced dead at Denver Health Medical Center.

Evidence in the case showed that Snow went to the residence for a drug deal and the two argued about a gun that Snow previously had sold to Griego which Griego said was defective. Griego was shot as the argument escalated.
