Man On Mount Sopris Is 1 Of 6 Pitkin County Rescues

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A 74-year-old man had to be rescued from Mount Sopris on Saturday, roughly ten miles south of Carbondale.

Deputies said he was coming down the peak when he fell. The man was with two other hikers who were able to alert officials.

It was one of six total rescues the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office responded to on Saturday. All hikers are expected to be okay.
