Man Killed In Weld County Explosion Identified

ERIE, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities have released the identity of a man who was killed in an explosion east of Erie that investigators believe was caused by a welding torch.

According to the Weld County coroner, Reuben Camacho, 26, of Brighton, died of traumatic head and thermal injuries. Investigators believe he was welding near a vacuum tank trailer used to haul oil from well sites.

It's believed the spark from the torch ignited residual oil inside or outside of the tank, causing an explosion.

Another man was injured in the explosion that occurred at a private business Wednesday afternoon. His name hasn't been released.
