Man Found Guilty In New Year's Day Murder

DENVER (CBS4)- A man accused of killing another man in the early morning hours of New Year's Day in downtown Denver was found guilty on Thursday.

Calvin Johnson was convicted of one count of first-degree murder by a jury.

The body of Teodoro Leon, 50, was found in an alley near 10th Avenue and Acoma Street in the morning hours of Jan. 1. He had been stabbed to death.

Police later identified Johnson, 44, as a suspect. He faces life in prison without parole when he is sentenced on July 22.
