Police say Stetler confronted Huerfano County Sheriff Bruce Newman on Thursday complaining about government issues and was chased off the sheriff's property. Police say Stetler fired four to five gunshots into the air as he left.

Police say they spotted Stetler driving away from his home on Friday and gave chase. Stetler drove home and a standoff began.

Suarez says the standoff ended Saturday when police entered the home and found Stetler dead.
