Man Finds 'Zombie' In Apartment On Halloween

By Stan Bush

DENVER (CBS4)- A Denver man feared for his life when his own apartment became a house of horrors on Halloween.

A resident of Block 32, an apartment complex in the RiNO, came home to find his unit trashed and a man in a zombie costume seemingly drunk and passed out in a chair.

The suspect, Dane Clark, also lived in the building.

Family members say Clark, 29, had been drinking heavily at his birthday party when he got out of control.

When the victim tried to wake up Clark, he became violent. He reached for a kitchen knife and threatened to kill the man. He ran away and called police. He was not injured.

Clark was arrested and charged with felony menacing. Family members say he will spend a month in alcohol rehab and is being evicted from his apartment.

Police say Clark was so intoxicated when he was arrested that he couldn't even respond to the officers. When his booking photo was taken, Clark's ears and neck were still covered in zombie makeup.
