Man Finds Body In Newly-Purchased Home

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (CBS4) - It was a gruesome discovery for one man who found a body inside his newly-purchased home in Fountain.

Hootan Emami bought the home at auction after it went into foreclosure. The bank put it up for auction because payments had not been made in months.

Emami was checking out his new home with a contractor when they found the body of a woman inside.

Neighbors said they hadn't seen her for months.

"A neighbor and I got really sad and concerned because she was a great person, so we called the police department to come on down and do an investigation," said neighbor Gus Marquez.

Marquez said an officer did come to the home and knocked on the door but there was no answer.

The coroner is investigating how the woman died.
