Man Faces Charges In 'Extreme Domestic Violence' Death

DENVER (AP) — Authorities have made an arrest in what they are calling a case of "extreme domestic violence" after a 24-year-old woman was found dead in a Glenwood Springs apartment.

Garfield County deputies had responded to the apartment Friday to a report of a possible homicide and found the woman dead. The victim's name is not being released pending notification of family.

Authorities say the suspect fled after the killing and was found Saturday in the Grand Junction area of Mesa County.

He was arrested by a SWAT team.

The suspect had been wanted on a previous domestic violence warrant and now faces first-degree murder charges.
