Man Dies While Hiking Near Estes Park

ESTES PARK, Colo. (AP) - A 61-year-old man from Austin, Texas, died Saturday while hiking near Estes Park.

The man was hiking with a friend when he collapsed about 4 miles up a trail that goes to Twin Sisters Peaks.

The trail is on a popular route that tops out at 11,400 feet and offers stunning views of nearby Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Bystanders performed CPR and tried to resuscitate the man, but they were not successful.

The man has not been identified.
