Man Critically Hurt In Shooting In Southwest Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - One man was seriously hurt in a shooting that took place overnight in southwest Denver.

The shooting happened at approximately 3 a.m. Friday near the intersection of West Ohio Avenue and South Shoshone Street.

The victim entered Swedish Medical Center. His injuries were described as critical. It was unclear if the victim drove himself or was dropped off at the hospital.

Investigators combed the scene for evidence for several hours after the shooting.

Police said they didn't have any information about a suspect. That's concerning some neighbors.

"I just hope people that got guns and are shooting them are thinking there's innocent people in these homes. Because I've seen children all over this neighborhood and that's what worries me," neighbor Diane Wells said.
