Man Convicted Of Impersonating A Police Officer

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)- A man has been convicted of impersonating a police officer in connection with an incident last year in which he followed a female driver in Aurora.

Antonio Marcus Arbogast was convicted of impersonating a police officer and harassment after a trial this week in Adams County District Court. The jury took just 40 minutes to deliver a guilty verdict late Tuesday afternoon.

Arbogast, 23, began following the woman in the early morning hours of May 18, 2015. She called police and told them that she was being followed by a car with flashing lights and the driver was trying to pull her over.

She told 911 operators that she did not believe she was being followed by a police officer.

Arbogast has been scheduled for sentencing on Aug. 26 in Adams County District Court.
