Man Charged With Crashing SUV Into Building

DENVER (CBS4)- The man who allegedly crashed into the corner of a building in south Denver with his SUV, injuring himself and four others, has been charged.

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged Ryan Nuanez with vehicular assault, driving under the influence of drugs and driving under revocation.

The charges allege that on Saturday, Nuanez, 24, was driving northbound on S. Colorado Boulevard when he crossed over the southbound lanes and struck a building in the 2800 block of S. Colorado Boulevard that housed Accent Optics.

Nuanez injured four people inside the optics business, a man and three women.

Nuanez remains in custody on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on July 18 at 9:30 a.m. to be formally advised of the charges.
