Man Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

DENVER (CBS4)- A man accused of throwing rocks at cars and assaulting three police officers has been formally charged.

Brian Deese has been charged with three counts of assault in the second degree and one count of reckless endangerment.

The charges allege that just before 4 p.m. on Nov. 5, Deese, 44, was throwing rocks at cars near Alameda and Santa Fe. When contacted by police the charges further allege that he attacked and seriously injured one officer then ran away and injured two other officers before being taken into custody.

Deese remains in custody on $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Dec. 10 for a preliminary hearing.
