Man Charged In Taxi Driver Assault

DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver district attorney has formally charged a man accused of assaulting a taxi driver and fleeing his cab.

Curt Glinton allegedly attacked a taxi driver and a passerby after arguing over the fare in the area of 44th Avenue and Tejon Street last week.

The charges also allege that the 24-year-old got into the taxi and ran over the bystander causing serious injuries before he fled.

Glinton was taken into custody a short time later. He is charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, one count of robbery, one count of leaving the scene of an accident and one count of vehicular assault.
