Man Asked To De-Board Southwest Plane At DIA Because Of Tweet
DENVER (CBS4)- A man was asked to de-board a plane before taking off at Denver International Airport because of a tweet he sent about being dissatisfied with his treatment at the gate.
Duff Watson and his two children were flying from Denver to Minneapolis on Sunday.
He had a disagreement with the gate agent about letting the kids go with him during priority boarding.
"In leaving, I said, 'Real nice way to treat an A-list, I'll be sure to tweet about it,'" said Watson. "Something to the effect of, 'Wow, rudest agent in Denver. Kimberly S gate C39, not happy @SWA.'"
Apparently that tweet started a reaction that left him back at the gate.
"She said her safety feels threatened because of what I tweeted," said Watson.
Duff eventually deleted the tweet and was allowed back on the plane.
Southwest Airlines released this statement, "On Sunday a customer was removed for a short time from Flight #2347 from Denver to Minneapolis... The incident is currently under review."
