Man Arrested In Connection With Death Of 3-Month-Old Daughter
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The father of a 3-month-old girl has been arrested in connection with her death.
Josiah Lamarr Jones, 21, is being held on suspicion of child abuse resulting in death.
In March Jones told 911 operators his daughter Naomi was having trouble breathing. The baby died three days later at the hospital.
Authorities say Naomi had other serious injuries that Jones couldn't explain.
"Once on scene police and paramedics located Naomi Jones who was unresponsive. She was immediately transported to a local hospital. The father, Josiah Jones, was the only other person in the residence at the time of the call," Steve Davis with Lakewood Police said in a statement. "She had numerous serious injuries that detectives felt were unexplained or inconsistent with the account that Josiah provided."
Jones' court date has yet to be set.
