Man Accused Of Tricking People Into Investing In Business He Didn't Own

DENVER (CBS4)- A man has been arrested, accused of tricking people into investing in a business he didn't own.

Richard Motarjeme has been charged with fraud, forgery and theft.

Investigators said Motarjeme sold equity interest in a restaurant and wine shop in Stapleton and used the the investment funds for his personal expenses.

An investigation revealed investors lost a total of $480,000.

The district attorney's office said the restaurant and wine shop owners are also victims in the case.
