Man Accused Of Stealing Thousands From At-Risk Elderly Woman
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - A Westminster business owner has been arrested after investigators say he allegedly stole thousands of dollars from an elderly woman.
Spencer Charles Olguin, 43, is accused of collecting money from the woman for carpet cleaning services he never performed.
"Over a 6-day period, Olguin allegedly made multiple trips to the elderly woman's home in Elbert County, collecting checks day after day for carpet cleaning services that didn't happen," the Elbert County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
The victim is legally blind and has other medical conditions.
In all, deputies say Olguin stole $55,000.
