The sheriff's office says 28-year-old Travis Nilles, of Westminster, got on top of the woman and tried to stab her twice after they got into an argument Saturday in Roosevelt National Forest. Both he and the woman, whose arms were bleeding, were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries and released Sunday morning.

Nilles was then booked into jail for investigation of second-degree assault and felony menacing.
