Man Accused Of Stabbing Wife With Knife, Hatchet

EVERGREEN, Colo. (AP) — A Clear Creek County man is in jail after allegedly stabbing his wife with a kitchen knife and a hatchet multiple times before stabbing himself.

Undersheriff Bruce Snelling says 68-year-old Leland Thomas Kintzele was arrested after Saturday's stabbing at the couple's home northwest of Evergreen. Investigators believe the stabbings were the result of a domestic dispute.

His wife, 52-year-old Patricia Kintzele was taken to a hospital but her condition isn't known.

It's not known if Leland Kintzele has a lawyer yet.
