Man Accused Of Impersonating Officer, Assaulting Woman Formally Charged

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver district attorney has charged a man with impersonating a police officer and assaulting a woman.

Police say Morris Fate, 32, offered a ride to a woman last week at 17th Avenue and Xenia Street. They say he grabbed her grabbed her, claiming to be a police officer and showing a badge.

The woman was able to get away.

Fate was arrested a short time later. He remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.
