Another Man Accused Of Impersonating A Police Officer
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — A man is facing charges after he was accused of claiming to be a police officer and then fighting with the real police.
Willie Greene III is accused of impersonating a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer and DUI.
Witnesses say they thought Greene was suspicious and they tried to take his picture.
They said Greene got out of his vehicle and told them he was a police officer and they were interfering with an investigation.
Police say when they arrived, Greene struggled with them and police used a stun gun to subdue him.
Police in the Denver metro area are also still searching for a man they believe to have impersonated a police officer last week.
The suspect was allegedly driving a car with mounted emergency lights and pulled a woman over in Sheridan.
The suspect is described as a white man, 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-4 with short blond hair and a thin beard. He was wearing a dark blue uniform with short sleeves and a "police type duty belt" and black gloves.
No arrests have been made in that case and police are asking anyone with information to please contact them.
