Man Accused Of Attacking Women In Fort Collins In Court On Separate Charges

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – A man arrested and charged in at least eight attacks on women in Larimer County appeared in court Monday morning on separate charges.

Jose Angel Alderete-Gomez is facing charges for assault and unlawful sexual contact. He appeared in court Monday to hear charges against him for allegedly punching his girlfriend several times in the face on Nov. 14.

Police initially arrested Alderette-Gomez for just one of the assaults on women in Fort Collins. After police conducted forensics testing they were able to link him to the other attacks.

The women were all targeted in an area of Fort Collins near Shields Street and Taft Hill Road, and West Prospect and West Drake roads in the early to late evening hours.
