Major Intersection In Cherry Creek North To Be Closed For Weekend

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver is planning a big closure in Cherry Creek North this weekend, saying it will actually speed up the construction work.

Denver Public Works is going to close the intersection of 1st Avenue and University Boulevard starting Saturday at 7 p.m. The closure should be complete by 10 p.m. and will stay in place until Tuesday at 7 a.m.

The city says by completely closing the intersection it can complete storm sewer and street reconstruction project three weeks early.
